  14. the development of the Career Buoyancy Profile.  If you download the Profile and
  15. e-mail the results to us, we will e-mail back to you a detailed report.

  29. If you have obtained a copy of this program on disk, simply copy the CBP folder
  30. from the disk onto your hard drive.

  32. Before you can use the program, you must expand it by double-clicking on it.  It
  33. will automatically create an executable (and larger) version of the program.

  37. WHAT IS THE CAREER BUOYANCY PROFILE?

  39. The Career Buoyancy Profile helps you put your understanding of your behaviors
  40. into a more complete, objective format. Your results will help you to understand
  41. where you exceed or fall short of your goal.  The Career Buoyancy Profile is
  42. designed to help you better understand your work and life.

  44. The Profile can help you identify your strengths, focus on them, and compare
  45. them to the strengths of others.  Finally, it can help you see how the strengths
  46. you have developed in one career can be used even more productively in the next.
  47. So, the aim of the profile is to help you focus your energy on improving your
  48. career buoyancy.

  50. The Career Buoyancy Profile is a self-teaching tool.  If you are like most
  51. people, your view of yourself is a bit cloudy in some places and in some ways.
  52. But the Career Buoyancy Profile can help you develop a clearer picture of who
  53. you are.

  55. PLEASE NOTE:  The Career Buoyancy Profile is NOT intended for employee screening
  56. or selection purposes.  It is designed for self-education only.  This is the
  57. first commercially-available version of the Career Buoyancy Profile, and should
  58. be used carefully.  As our work continues, we will be changing the Profile.

  61. WHO SHOULD USE THIS PROFILE?

  63. The Career Buoyancy Profile was designed for adults who want to learn more about
  64. their employability and career buoyancy.  The basic buoyancy research on which
  65. it is based focused on adult professionals.  While we believe that this work
  66. applies broadly to people in all walks of life, the Profile is ideal for use by
  67. professionals or by those seeking to move from jobs which some people call
  68. low-skill to jobs considered to be high-skill.

  71. TAKING AND RETURNING THE TEST
  72.  
  73. While the Profile questions can start you thinking about your career, the real
  74. value lies in the report form.  If you send us your data file we will return a
  75. detailed report to you.  Ideally, you will e-mail the file and if you provide
  76. your e-mail address, we will e-mail the report to you.   Expect a several week
  77. turn-around time.
